Food Business Operator : ISKON Temple
Place : Bangalore
Issue : Fungus in prasad
Consumer complaint : As posted by Ankursap on Sept 18th in http://www.consumercomplaints.in
I visited with my family to ISKCON Temple Banglore today, purchased a Prasad 2×120 with lot of feelings and devotion. It was a surprise package when opened and wanted to be pleased with blessings from lord Krishna. The prasad found with fungus inside. I had attached few snaps which was labeled with manufacturing date as september 16. I will carry this back to the temple to return this packet and claim for money. Its sad to see a place which should be for worship, but is focused on business and not even a quality food.
It is the responsibility of the temple authorities to follow good practices in preparing prasadams. If the claim of the devotee is true he can file complaint with District Designated Officer (Food Safety) for regulatory action. Thousands of devotees can be saved from food safety poisoning risk.
